Former ‘Big Brother’ Winners Reveal Their Pick to Win Season 24: Taylor, Monte or Turner?

We’re nearing the end. The Big Brother season 24 finale is almost here and we’re down to the final three houseguests – Taylor Hale, Monte Taylor and Mathew Turner. Who will take home the win? Us Weekly reached out to former winners – including Jun Song (season 4), Rachel Reilly (season 13), Ian Terry (season 14), Andy Herren (season 15), Derrick Levasseur (season 16), Nicole Franzel (season 18), Josh Martinez (season 19), Kaycee Clark (season 20), Cody Calafiore (season 22), Xavier Prather (season 23), Kevin Jacobs (Big Brother Canada 10) and Morgan Willett (Big Brother OTT) – to get their takes on who they think deserves to see win the $750,000. Jun Song (Big Brother 4 Winner)

My pick to win this BB24 season would be hands-down Taylor Hale. She has my utmost respect for the way she handled all the crap her fellow houseguests threw at her. My goodness – what a bunch of underdeveloped, insecure group of so-called adults. The fact that Taylor is sitting in the final three speaks volumes of her grit and real-life ability to cope with toxicity. Unfortunately, this won’t be the last time she has to deal with such people.

And if the jury doesn’t award her a win, then I hope to see her win America’s Favorite Player because I know the fans love her. But I believe Taylor’s jury management has been pretty stellar, so hopefully we get to see her become the first Black woman to win a season of Big Brother. Good God. This show is finally emerging from the dark ages.

Ian Terry (Big Brother 14 Winner)

It seems to me that Monte is playing the best game. He's never really been on the outs, won an early, efficient HOH and has blended into the crowd smoothly. Most importantly, I see that he's the player that's putting together the best "end-game run" in competitions – this shows that he did a good job of strategically surrounding himself with people he could beat in the competitions that have the most value tied to them (and was instrumental in getting rid of Michael, his biggest threat to accomplishing this feat). Monte has the best handle on all facets of the game from what I can tell, so he's my pick.

Andy Herren (Big Brother 15 Winner)

I am a human being with a functioning brain, so Taylor is the only option for me. I can’t remember the names of the other two finalists!

Rachel Reilly (Big Brother 13 Winner)

I’d love to see Taylor win! I always root for the girls, but also Taylor has an epic story this season! She’s played a good game and even was able to use Monte to keep her final two and hopefully keep her to final two. I’m all about using what you’ve got. It is, after all, $750k on the line.

I hope Taylor doesn’t let the end-of-season showmance interfere with her smart decision-making for final two, as we saw she wants to bring Brittany to the end – thankfully – which will give her that win and $750k. I think her strongest arguments are her journey to make it to final two. She’s also the only female to win HOH if I am correct. But Taylor needs to win the final HOH period to solidify a win, especially because I think Monte won’t actually bring her to the end.

I definitely think if Monte sits in the final chair he will beat whomever he is sitting next to. He’s played an almost flawless social game. He’s been able to align himself with the major alliances throughout the season and also gain the trust of all the jury members. When each one left, they said they were rooting for Monte and he was playing the best game. He’s been able to win comps when needed, and he’s got a strong argument for being the reason Michael left the game, which I think will solidify Michael’s vote for him against whoever. I see Michael voting on gameplay and comp wins. I see the jury listening to Michael’s opinion. I think Monte has Terrance, Kyle, Alyssa, Indy, Brittany, possibly Jasmine and Joseph (against Turner). I mean, I think Monte wins this against Taylor or Turner.

Turner has played a solid game. He has won he’s been social and he’s at the end with mostly friends in the jury. But, I think against Monte, Turner just doesn’t have the skills or resume to articulate why he’s the better option. Against Taylor, I think the girls vote for Taylor, and Turner wouldn’t have the votes. In any other situation, Turner would have won but he messed his game up by keeping Taylor final four and not having Alyssa and Brittany at the end with him.

Derrick Levasseur (Big Brother 16 Winner)

Turner played a pretty good game up until the last few weeks. He’s had horrible jury management. He has no shot at winning.

Monte is playing the best game and will have the best resume if he wins the final HOH.

Taylor will win Big Brother 24. Good resume. Decent social game. But great underdog story with a chance to make history. And she’s a great speaker, so she will sell that to the jury in her final speech.

Nicole Franzel (Big Brother 18 Winner)

I definitely think Taylor deserves the win for multiple reasons. Simply surviving to final three as a target from week one speaks for itself and she did a lot more than survive. Taylor also dealt with a lot of unnecessary pettiness that was not game-related and she handled it all with such class and positivity. That girl is here to play and here to stay! Bring home that win, Taylor! Go Michigan!

Josh Martinez (Big Brother 19 Winner)

To be honest, all three houseguests have each played really good games deserving of the win. From winning competitions to working with different alliances, all three have played strong social games and won a good amount of comps. But for me, there is a clear winner from the very start of the game. Taylor has been one of my winners picks as well a Michael. As a fan of this show, I always find myself rooting for the super fans. When she said in her pre-season interviews that Danielle Reyes was one of her favorites, I put all my money on her. I think Taylor has strong connections in the jury with Michael and Joseph campaigning for her win. I do think her biggest competition is Monte, so I hope she cuts him if she wins that final HOH and secures that $750k.

From someone that has experienced so many highs and lows in that house, it would be f--king awesome to see her pull out the victory. To make history back-to-back years and have our first African American female winner would be the best outcome for how this season started.

Kaycee Clark (Big Brother 20 Winner)

Both Monte and Taylor have made it this far into the season, so I believe they both deserve to be celebrated for their gameplay. I’m very much about genuine and loyal players and as much as I’d love to see another female Big Brother winner, I’m rooting for Monte to win it all!

Cody Calafiore (Big Brother 22 Winner)

My favorite story on this season would have to be Taylor’s story. She was an example of a true underdog story from the start. After being the house target and treated the way she was at the start of the season, we’ve never seen someone get through that adversity quite like her, and find their way to the final three. I would love to see her sitting in the final two chairs and bring home the win because it would show future houseguests that you should never count yourself out, even if early on it seems like there’s no hope. So needless to say, I am pulling for Taylor to get the win!

Xavier Prather (Big Brother 23 Winner)

After competing on Big Brother, I don’t like the discourse surrounding which houseguest “deserves” to win. I think the word “deserve” undermines the fact that there are many different gameplay styles that can be implemented to win Big Brother (a fact which myself and many other past houseguests didn’t fully appreciate during our time on Big Brother). Anyone who effectively executes their gameplay strategy (which can be passive) to survive throughout the season and end up in those final two chairs is a “deserved” winner. Regarding the three remaining houseguests this season:

Taylor – A truly inspiring underdog story. She has faced so much adversity throughout the season and handled herself with poise and grace, which is a true testament to her character. Socially, because of how she’s carried herself throughout the season, I believe she’s given many jury members incentive to root/vote for her. This makes her one of, if not the biggest threat heading into finale night because (as we all know) it only takes five votes to win Big Brother.

Monte – Socially, Monte has done well. He’s starting to win competitions at crucial moments in the game, which I think bolsters his resume and puts him in a very good position to argue why he should win the $750k. He seems to be guaranteed final two (Turner or Taylor likely take Monte to final two if they win the final HOH), however, if he doesn’t maintain strong relationships with both Turner and/or Taylor, he may be going home with bronze unless he wins that final HOH.

Turner – I think Turner has been flying under the radar all season. However, I think where Turner may find himself in trouble is whether the jury perceives his game moves as autonomous. If he is able to convince the jury that his game moves were in fact autonomous, then I think it strengthens his case for why he should win the game. Otherwise, sitting next to either Taylor or Monte, he likely loses. A lot of this will ultimately come down to who wins those final competitions.

P.S. I’m extremely biased, but I’d like to see the Big Brother crown remain in Michigan.

Kevin Jacobs (Big Brother Canada 10 Winner)

You can look back at most seasons of Big Brother and figure out who the story is about. Usually, that story is about why someone won the game or why someone lost the game. Like it or not, Big Brother 24 is the story of Taylor Hale. From week one on the block to the formation of The Leftovers to her enemies leaving one after another, this season has been about a really, really nice person navigating a really, really complex game. It’s fascinating to watch someone hold their head up high, not react to the craziness of the house, and see them make their way through that complexity without visibly succumbing or reacting to the heightened emotions or pressures of the game. And the question is, can being nice win you a season of Big Brother? The finale will show that the answer is yes.

After Brittany leaves, Turner is likely drawing dead against Monte or Taylor. If Monte and Turner sit beside each other, we’ll get a good winner - likely Monte - but this season will be the story of how Taylor made it to finale night and lost. What is going to happen is Monte is going to win the final HOH and he’ll choose Taylor to sit beside him. She’ll secure a historic victory, proving that sometimes, in life and in Big Brother, being nice can actually get you the win.

Morgan Willett (Big Brother OTT Winner)

My winning pick for BB24 is Taylor! I think she’s played a great game and I love that when she had her back up against a wall, she stayed strong and proved that she has what it takes to get to the end. She’s smart, she’s social and I’m all about a fierce female winning in the end.
