Buckingham Palace is hiring! The website for the royal residence recently shared a job posting for a sous chef, and the position sounds almost too good to be true. According to the posting, the sous chef will work five days a week and be tasked with cooking for various members of the royal family.

Though the job description doesn’t mention exactly which royals the sous chef would be cooking for, it sounds like there will be ample opportunity to prepare meals for Prince William, Duchess Kate, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, in addition to Buckingham Palace residents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

Whoever nabs the coveted position will be expected to “deliver food to the highest standards,” “plan and develop menu items for a wide range of events” and work alongside the head chef to “motivate the kitchen team.”

However, the palace is also interested in helping its employees improve and gain new skills, so the hardworking sous chef can also expect to be “supported to grow within your role.”

And even though the job is based in London’s Buckingham Palace, traveling to other royal homes is required. That means the sous chef will also likely get an inside look at Queen Elizabeth’s country homes, including Balmoral Castle in Scotland, Sandringham House in Norfolk, and Windsor Castle, which is located just outside London.

While the job description doesn’t include the sous chef’s salary, the position does come with a “comprehensive benefits package,” including 33 vacation days and a pension plan. What’s more? The job posting states there’s an option to “live-in with all meals provided” with a “salary adjustment.” In other words, whoever gets the job will have the option to live in Buckingham Palace.

So who exactly is qualified to work in one of the most famous homes in the world? The ideal candidate is someone who is an “experienced and qualified chef with a background in premier catering.” Applicants must also have “thorough knowledge of the food industry” and be trained in classical French cuisine.

The post continues, “Above all, you’ll be committed to achieving high standards every day, making you a real asset to the kitchen team.”
