Chip and Joanna Gaines’ empire is growing! The couple known for their home improvement expertise will reportedly be breaking ground on a new coffee shop in early March.
This latest venture for the former Fixer Upper stars joins Magnolia Market at the Silos, a shopping center with games, food trucks and a garden, and the family’s restaurant, Magnolia Table.
Like their previous establishments, the coffee shop will be located in Waco, Texas, not far from where the couple lives with their five children – Drake, 14, Ella, 13, Duke, 10, Emmie, 8 and Crew, 8 months. According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, the new cafe will be located in downtown Waco, just one block from the Silos.
The new store, which has yet to receive an official name, is a bit of a first for the famous pair in that it differs from both Magnolia Market and Magnolia Table. “The coffee shop will include a full-service coffee bar, fresh-baked pastries and an assortment of hot teas, among other menu offerings,” a rep for the husband and wife team told Today Food.
The newest addition to the Magnolia empire will also cater to passersby with a carry-out window and both indoor and outdoor seating, reports Country Living.
As if that wasn’t enough, the next few months are expected to be busy for the famous family seeing as Chip, 44, recently confirmed his brood would be returning to the small screen soon. “We are coming back to television,” the former HGTV star revealed during a November 2018 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “You’re gonna get to see the kids grow up. You’ll get to see us — obviously maybe a six-month delay like the rest of the world. But we’re excited to be back.”
Discovery, Inc. also confirmed the family’s return to Us Weekly in a statement: “Discovery is thrilled to confirm that we are in exclusive talks with Chip and Joanna Gaines. The Gaineses are exceptional people, true authentic storytellers and creative visionaries who will nourish millions of people with quality, family-friendly programming accessible on a 24/7 network and across all screens. Stay tuned … working out the final details … more to come soon!”
With five kids, multiple businesses to run and a new TV show in the works, Joanna, 40, recently opened up to Southern Living about how some things occasionally fall through the cracks. Recalling one night when she forgot to prepare dinner for her kids, Joanna had no other option but to feed her little ones five bags of 30-cent ramen. While the home improvement guru said she initially felt guilty about the incident, she quickly realized her kids “were in hog heaven.”
Added the mom of five: ”While I was beating myself up for giving them my second best, they loved it. And I found grace in that moment.”
