A summer favorite is coming back to Starbucks! The chain announced on Wednesday, April 24, that its beloved S’mores Frappuccino is slated to return to participating stores in the United States and Canada on Tuesday, April 30, after an extended absence.
The beverage, which was last a part of the coffee giant’s menu in 2017, is being brought back as a result of popular demand via social media from fans, who apparently missed the drink when it was MIA last year.
Inspired by nostalgia, the S’mores Frappuccino is intended to evoke “summertime feels with every sip,” according to the Seattle-based company.
Per a product description, the drink starts with fluffy marshmallow-infused whipped cream and milk chocolate sauce along with a creamy blend of Starbucks coffee, milk and ice. It’s finished off with more marshmallow whipped cream and a delicious graham cracker crumble. In other words, it’s basically a s’more minus the open flame.
Additionally, the S’mores Frappuccino is customizable. That means customers can change things up by asking for pumps of flavored syrups such as vanilla or cinnamon dolce, or by requesting an added layer of cold foam.
According to Starbucks, the S’mores Frappuccino is only expected to be around for a limited time while supplies last.
However, if you’re unable to procure one of these highly anticipated caffeinated beverages (or simply can’t wait to sip on the seasonal drink,) all hope is not lost. That’s because Starbucks recently debuted its Golden S’mores packaged coffee, which is currently available in K-Cup and ground coffee bean form.
