The establishment is scheduled to open at the Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, California, on Friday, September 14, and it’s already shaping up to be quite a trendy, Instagram-worthy spot. According to the cafe’s website, the “supercute menu” features freshly baked cookies, cakes, doughnuts, seasonal goodies and handmade hot and iced drinks, which can be taken to go or enjoyed in the “sweet seating area.”

As if that wasn’t enough, the photo-ready pink and white eatery also plans to sell a selection of Hello Kitty Cafe merchandise, including plush toys, thermoses, lunch boxes and more. And while Hello Kitty may tend to skew a bit younger, the cafe also hopes to cater to the over-21 crowd with a “hidden reservations-only pink oasis” known as The Bow Room.

Tucked in the back of the cafe, this secretive locale will serve tea during the day and also have an evening cocktail service, where customers who are old enough to drink can order cat-themed libations such as a You Had Me At Hello, which features a flavorful blend of cachaça, aperol, lemon, sherry and pineapple. The aptly-named Hello Kit-Tea, on the other hand, consists of a blend of Japanese whiskey, jasmine tea, lime, depaz syrup, yuzu and cream.

COO Craig Takiguchi via a press release. “As the first brick-and-mortar cafe concept of its kind in the U.S., Hello Kitty Grand Cafe combines our signature fast-causal setting with an all-new immersive dining experience through our afternoon tea service for guests of all ages and cocktail service that caters to our adult fans.”
