Krispy Kreme will soon have a new home in New York City! The doughnut company announced on Monday, June 10, that it plans to open a flagship store in the Big Apple in early 2020. The new outpost, which will be located in Times Square at 48th and Broadway, is expected to serve more guests annually than any other Krispy Kreme location around the world.
So what can doughnut fans expect? The establishment will be cranking out hot, fresh doughnuts 24/7, and will feature new immersive and interactive digital experiences that give customers a closer look at the doughnut-making process with things like a glaze waterfall.
Visitors can also enjoy grabbing a seat and eating inside the world’s largest Krispy Kreme “doughnut box,” or getting assorted confections via the store’s exterior walk-up window, which will also sell coffee.
“Our direction is to be the most loved sweet treat brand in the world, in the most iconic city in the world,” said CEO and president of the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation, Michael Tattersfield. “The Krispy Kreme Times Square Flagship will showcase our brand on the global stage and inspire customer wonder.”
