Kevin Can Wait

Kevin Can Wait is a CBS sitcom starring Kevin James as Kevin Gable, a newly retired Nassau County police officer who shares three children — Kendra (Taylor Spreitler), Sara (Mary-Charles Jones) and Jack (James DiGiacomo) — with his wife, Donna (Erinn Hayes). James served as the show’s creator alongside Rock Reuben and Bruce Helford.

Other characters include Kendra’s fiancé Chale Witt (Ryan Cartwright), Kevin’s older brother Kyle Gable (Gary Valentine), friend Tyrone “Goody” Goodman (Leonard Earl Howze), retired officer Mott (Chris Roach), friend Duffy (Lenny Venito) and Kevin’s former rival Vanessa Cellucci (Leah Remini).

Hayes was fired from the show in 2017 and did not appear on season 2. She was featured on Kevin Can F**k Himself as a guest in 2022. The AMC series alluded to Kevin Can Wait and the manner in which Hayes’ character was written out of the second season.

Kevin Can Wait premiered in 2016 and was canceled two years later.
