University of Nebraska softball player Jordy Frahm announced some big news the day after playing in the 2026 College World Series.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time,” Frahm, 23, wrote via Instagram on Monday, June 1. “Our greatest blessing is on the way. Baby Frahm coming December 2026. 🤍.”
Jordy shared a photo of three pairs of cowboy boots: one for her, one for her unborn baby and one for her husband, Trey.
The announcement came just hours after Jordy and Nebraska were eliminated from the College World Series after a 3-1 loss to the University of Texas on Sunday, May 31. Jordy started and pitched all six innings of the game, which saw Texas storm back with three runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to secure the victory.
“This baby was just in the WOMENS COLLEGE WORLD SERIES!” Big Ten Network’s Sydney Supple commented on the post. “You are already the coolest Mom!”
Former Nebraska volleyball player Maisie Boesiger wrote, “OH MY GOODNESS!!! Congrats! So so so exciting ❤️❤️❤️.”
“Literally can’t wait!!!!!” Jordy’s teammate Lauren Camenzind commented on the post. “Baby frahm is going to be so loved and you two are going to be the best parents ever ❤️❤️❤️.”
Sunday’s loss by the Cornhuskers not only brought the end of their season but also marked the final chapter in Jordy’s decorated collegiate career. The softball star marked the bittersweet occasion with a video posted via social media on Sunday.
“Dear softball, you came into my life when I was just eight years old and somehow became much more than a game,” Jordy said in the video. “You awakened something in me; a competitive spirit and a fire to push myself farther than I thought I could go. You taught me how to be strong, how to fight through failure, how to test myself mentally, physically and emotionally.”
She continued, “For 15 years, you have shaped me. God has used you in my life in the most incredible ways. Through you, he has broken me down and rebuilt me stronger.”
Jordy and Trey got married in August 2025, on a night when Jordy said she had “never been more flooded with gratitude, and humbled to feel such a love.”
“From the beautiful celebration that so many people put time and energy into preparing (especially my mother), to having never experienced so many special people from my life all under one roof, and to be marrying the man that GOD chose for me, it was the most perfect night,” she shared via Instagram at the time.
