Morgan Riddle is embracing her single era after her split from tennis star Taylor Fritz.
The content creator, 28, confirmed the pair’s breakup in April following a nearly six-year relationship, telling Elle in an interview published Monday, June 8, that she was unsure how to “hard launch” the news to the world.
Instead of sharing an announcement at the time, Riddle leaned into a humorous approach.
She notably shared photos wearing a T-shirt that had “World’s best ex-girlfriend” written across it while out and about in New York City with friends — a top she ordered from Amazon. Another pic showed the influencer crying with a crystal on her forehead, while a third shot showed a restaurant banner with a message overhead reading, “You can cry in here!”
“When public relationships end, it’s standard to do some sort of Instagram statement or video, and I tried to write that a few times and I was just like, ‘This is not me,’” she told Elle.
As for where she and Fritz, 28, stand now, she said, “We’re on good terms, so I wanted to make it more light-hearted than breakups usually are online.”

Rumors of the couple’s split started swirling earlier in April, but Riddle squashed the rumors at the time.
“@taylor_fritz damn did you know about this?? 🤣🤣,” Riddle commented, tagging the athlete in an April 6 Instagram post from Beyond the Baseline claiming Fritz had “dumped” her.
Fritz and Riddle began dating in June 2020. The now-exes sparked a connection on the celebrity dating app Raya during the COVID pandemic.
Prior to the couple calling it quits, The New York Times had dubbed Riddle “the most famous woman in men’s tennis,” following which she secured fashion deals with Grey Goose and Chanel Beauty. She often posted viral “Day in the Life” videos while jet-setting for tournaments, also showing off her fashion-forward outfits at Wimbledon and other events.
“We travel so well together, which people always ask me, ‘How do you guys spend that much time in a hotel room together without wanting to rip each other’s heads off?’” she previously told People about their relationship dynamic in 2023. “But we get along really well, which is why I think we’ve been able to make it work the last couple years.”
She added, “Both of us are very focused on what we’re doing. I’m not always like, ‘When are you coming back to the room?’ I’m out doing things or meeting people, which I think is good that we’re very much immersed in each other, but also have our own things going on, no matter where we are.”
