Tennis star Taylor Fritz and influencer Morgan Riddle have broken up after a nearly six-year-long relationship, Us Weekly can confirm.
Fritz and Riddle, both 28, “quietly split over a month ago,” a source tells Us.
People was first to report the news, claiming on Saturday, April 25, that Riddle ended the relationship with the athlete, currently ranked No. 8 in the world.
Later in the afternoon on Saturday, Riddle took to Instagram with a new post, seemingly hinting at the breakup. One of the photos in the carousel shows the influencer wearing a T-shirt that says, “World’s best ex-girlfriend.” Another showed the influencer crying with a crystal on her forehead.
Us Weekly has reached out to Fritz and Riddle for comment.
Fritz, 28, and Riddle, also 28, had been dating since June 2020. The relationship went viral in 2022 after Riddle posted on TikTok a controversial video that garnered some backlash.
In the video, Riddle said her goal was to make “tennis cool again,” which did not sit kindly with some tennis fans.
Fritz was quick to defend Riddle after the video went viral.

“I think what she did was awesome for our sport,” he said at the time. “It got a ton of people looking at it. I think you get your typical older fan who may be upset about it.”
He continued, “I don’t understand how anyone can get upset about it. I’m the one that’s a professional tennis player, I’m the one that does this for a living. I 100 percent agree with everything in that video.”
Rumors of the couple’s breakup started swirling earlier in April, but Riddle quickly shut down the hearsay online.
“@taylor_fritz damn did you know about this?? 🤣🤣,” Riddle commented on an April 6 Instagram post from Beyond the Baseline which claimed that Fritz had “dumped” her.
Riddle has been very active and supportive at Fritz’s tournaments throughout his career, frequently sitting front and center in his player’s box at major competitions.
“We travel so well together, which people always ask me, ‘How do you guys spend that much time in a hotel room together without wanting to rip each other’s heads off?'” Riddle told People. “But we get along really well, which is why I think we’ve been able to make it work the last couple years.”
Fritz and Riddle initially met on the celebrity dating app, Raya, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the two have been publicly supportive of each other, but that hasn’t stopped breakup rumors from occasionally popping up throughout the years.
“People write crazy things about us and our relationship,” Riddle said to podcast hosts Taylor Lautner and his wife, Tay Lautner, on their podcast, “The Squeeze,” in 2025. “[But] we really love each other. We have a very healthy relationship [and] nothing that anyone says online is gonna have any sort of effect on that.”
