Lights, camera, action! TV’s biggest names gathered in Beverly Hills this week for the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour, during which they promoted projects for the fall. And while the prospect of new shows to binge-watch is exciting, we were even more stoked to see our favorite actresses’ summer styles. Take a look at what NBC’s America Ferrera, Mandy Moore and Jennifer Hudson wore on Tuesday, August 2, in today’s Red Carpet Daily video, presented by AT&T.
We can’t stop thinking about Ferrera’s look, which she described as “pensive in pink” in a Tuesday, August 2, Instagram. The Superstore actress, 32, got down to business in a pale pink plaid button-down underneath a blush blazer. Her J Brand Alana high-rise cropped pants helped her show off a killer pair of white leather pumps decked out with gold on the stiletto heels and metallic, geometric toe details.
Ferrera’s outfit was so fly, in fact, that her costar Ben Feldman stole her look! “Why @benmfeldman gotta jock my style? #duelingplaid #duelingblazers,” she captioned a photo of her alongside her style twin, who wore a blue shirt and gray topper.
Moore, 32, also picked pants for her press day. The singer, who stars in the highly anticipated drama This Is Us, looked sweet as candy in a hot pink, high-neck chiffon blouse with ruffle details all over. She tucked the top into a pair of black cropped wide-leg pants, perfect for displaying her Nicholas Kirkwood Maeva Pearl pumps. As for accessories, she carried a white pearlescent Edie Parker Jean magnetic clutch and modeled a pair of Smith + Mara white sapphire spiral hoops.
“Been freaking out all day over these @smithandmara earrings,” she Instagrammed on August 2. Once she was done with werk(ing it!), Moore took to Instagram to thank her dream team for her OOTD … and to do a tiny bit of good-natured griping: “How do people walk around in heels all day? I can NOT do it anymore,” she wrote.
Hudson, 34, who plays Motormouth Maybelle in NBC’S upcoming Hairspray Live!, sizzled in a Jonathan Cohen crushed rose petal and porcelain plate-print dress along with white pumps. The American Idol alum kept her accessories simple, opting for a pair of moon-shaped studs. Before she began her busy day, Hudson shared a selfie on Instagram with a tip that we can all take away: “I always like a photo before I walk out the door to see exactly what I’m working with!”
