Ferrera’s growing film resume includes 2005’s girl-bonding flick The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, and The Lords of Dogtown.
The multitasking actress assumed an executive producer role for the bilingual film Towards Darkness, which premiered in April 2007 at the Tribeca Film Festival. Ferrara was awarded a 2005 Movieline Breakthrough Award for her success in the industry. Her groundbreaking work on Ugly Betty earned her a 2007 Golden Globe for Best Actress and a 2007 Emmy for Best Actress. In May 2013, Ferrera graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in international relations.
