Are we seeing double? Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are giving us all squad goals thanks to their hilariously sweet friendship (see: that time they danced on Billy Joel's piano and J.Law's balloon surprise after Schumer's Emmys win), but now they can add one more bullet point to their growing list of similarities: a slinky red Calvin Klein gown.
Schumer, 34, turned heads on the red carpet from the moment she stepped on the scene in her Calvin Klein gown at the L'Oreal Paris and David Yurman-sponsored Elle Women in Hollywood Awards on Monday, Oct. 19. The Trainwreck star's ensemble harkened back to Lawrence's own showstopping version (by the same designer!) from the 2011 Oscars.
Both blondes wore their hair down in soft curls, but we're not saying who wore it best, since they both killed the glam look.
The comedienne, who just debuted her HBO Special, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo, told Us she was "so excited" to be on the cover of Elle's November issue. "[Being honored tonight] means that I had to get hair and makeup and then I get to see my friends, and then we get to celebrate this magazine, which I'm honored to be on the cover of right now," she said, adding jokingly, "I'm going to try not to drink too much."
It's clear that the Inside Amy Schumer star was bent on having a really good (if not too good) time at the party, which she attended with tons of other female stars.
Julianne Hough, who got engaged to fiancé Brooks Laich in August, struck a pose in a wedding-worthy white cutout ensemble that showed off her fit figure. The Grease: Live star, 27, wore her hair down in loose curls and accessorized with a gold box clutch by Emm Kuo and gold ankle strap heels by Nicholas Kirkwood.
Hough's BFF Nina Dobrev stunned in a flirty, nude frock by Calvin Klein Collection, accessorizing with a textured gold clutch by L.K.Bennett and two-toned white and black sandals. The Vampire Diaries alum, 26, wore her hair in a statement topknot and added a vampy hint of burgundy to her look with her perfect pout.
Veering away from the solid colors, Nikki Reed wowed in a voluminous Monique Lhuillier number with a romantic damask pattern. The Twilight actress, 27, paired her strapless ensemble with silver Bionda Castana shoes and a color-blocked box clutch by Lee Savage and wore her hair draped to one side.
Kiernan Shipka also turned heads in her salmon-colored minidress by Calvin Klein Collection. The black vertical stripe in the center of the sheath meant that she didn't need to accessorize too much, so she carried a matching black clutch and wore minimalist black heels to top off her elegant yet edgy outfit.
Dakota Johnson walked the red carpet (also in Calvin Klein) with her mother, Melanie Griffith, her grandmother, Tippi Hedren, and her half-sister, Stella Banderas. The foursome coordinated in head-to-toe black for a striking picture featuring three generations of women in Hollywood.
