The opening ceremony and Grace of Monaco premiere on May 14 at the Cannes Film Festival kicked off the annual frockathon on the French Riviera.
In addition to starlets Blake Lively, Zoe Saldana and Kendall Jenner in dazzling styles, Jane Fonda wowed in a sparkling long sleeve gown. The burgundy Elie Saab Couture number featured sheer fabric with metallic beading on the sleeves and neckline.
Wearing a statement red lip, the legendary actress completed the look with rubellite drop earrings by Chopard.
While Fonda turned heads in Cannes, she also brought to mind the same dress worn by Angelina Jolie to the 2014 Oscars. Jolie strayed from her go-to black with a muted silver version. The Maleficent actress also kept her hair and makeup simple, choosing to emphasize her eyes with smoky bronze makeup.
