Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep Deliver Drama in Twinning Red Looks at ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Premiere

Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep were the talk of the night at the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere.

Hathaway, 43, and Streep, 76, coordinated their red carpet looks in New York City on Monday, April 20. For the screening, Hathaway, who plays Andrea “Andy” Sachs in the movie, stunned in a cherry Louis Vuitton dress featuring a strapless neckline and a fitted corset bodice. Her look cascaded into a voluminous pleated skirt.

Hathaway complemented her look with red strappy heels and Bulgari jewelry, including ruby and diamond dangling earrings, a matching ring and a rose gold ring.

For glam, Hathaway stunned with dewy skin, smokey brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, blushed cheeks and pink lips. Her brunette hair was parted to the side and styled in loose curls.

Streep, for her part, also commanded attention in a shiny Givenchy by Sarah Burton outfit, featuring a cape dress that tied at her neck in a knot. She accessorized with black gloves, boots and sunglasses. She added a touch of sparkle to her ensemble with diamond earrings.

The actress completed her look with blushed cheeks and pink lips. Her hair was parted to the side and brushed back. Streep, who plays Miranda Priestly in the film, gave the camera a soft smile while posing.

Hathaway and Streep also posed with Emily Blunt (Emily Charlton) and Stanley Tucci (Nigel) while hitting the red carpet.

Blunt, 43, slayed in a Schiaparelli design equipped with a feathered bodice and a layered skirt. She glammed up her look even more with a pearl choker and matching bracelet.

Hathaway previously opened up about what she hopes to see fans wear to the movie theater while watching the sequel, which comes two decades after the original film.

“I’m hoping everybody dresses up and goes to the movies,” she told Vogue in February. “I hope people remember how much fun they had wearing hot pink and going to see Barbie. I’m hoping that everybody puts on their favorite Miranda Priestly-approved outfit and just has a blast.”

The Devil Wears Prada 2 premieres in theaters on May 1.
