Bachelor Nation’s Ashley Iaconetti isn’t afraid to laugh at herself. On Tuesday, August 18, the 32-year-old posted a throwback pic of herself taken after trying the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge while wearing a super long set of faux lashes.
The reality star reposted the up-close selfie from her sister Lauren’s Instagram account, @therealashleyi. The account is full of relatable content that Ashley describes as “ridiculous, unfiltered s–t” with the intention of making fun of her. The former season 19 contestant doesn’t seem to mind.
Her sister captioned the post, “You guys remember the Kylie Jenner challenge when you sucked on a shot glass?? And when extra long lash extensions were fire 🔥.”
So when Ashley reposted the snap on her own feed, she admitted that she took the lashes a little too far on the hit ABC show. “Throwback to the Kylie Jenner lip challenge and my Bachelor lashes,” the Virginia native wrote in the caption. “You guys had every right to make fun of those. Wow.”
The Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge was big in 2015. People participated by squeezing their lips into a shot glass (which is dangerous, by the way) for oversized lips like the lip kit founder’s. Others, like Ashley, used a lip plumping device, except she didn’t admit that at first.
Iaconetti loves to interact with friends and fans on social media, so she engaged with comments about her lips, lashes and praise from her 1 million followers about her realness.
“Just FYI, this was from suctioning my lips in a shot glass…not actual injectables,” she continued in her Instagram caption. In the comments, one fan asked, “But that is just from a shot glass?!” Impressed they said they were going to try. Iaconetti replied and revealed that the plumpness was actually from “a lip plumper sucker thing” that she purchased.
A celebrity lash expert was taken aback by her bold falsies. “Omgeeeeee lol!! Definitely not my lashes,😘🤟🏻”the pro wrote. Jared Haibon’s wife replied, “No no those were some 2015 New Jersey lashes.”
“That’s probably the most relatable IG account ever😂😂😂,” wrote another one of Ashley’s fans, referring to her sister’s page. The TV star replied, “@laurenai is a genius.”
