A moving tribute! Beyoncé stormed the scene at Super Bowl 50’s halftime show on Sunday, February 7, in Santa Clara, California, wearing a military-inspired jacket that looked just like the one the late Michael Jackson donned for his Super Bowl performance in 1993.

Beyoncé, 34, performed “Formation,” the new single that she dropped the day before, in a custom, black leather DSquared2 jacket with a giant gold “X” embellished across the front.

It was a near-match to the King of Pop’s topper, which he wore more than 20 years earlier. While Queen Bey (whose 4-year-old daughter, Blue, watched from the stands!) finished her jacket with an Ashton Michael bodysuit, fishnets and boots by Christian Louboutin, Jackson added a white shirt, tight black pants and aviator sunglasses.

“Beyoncé wanted to pay homage to Michael,” her stylist Marni Senofonte told Essence. “She has always said he is her biggest music influence, and Michael’s halftime performance marked a change in global interest for the halftime show.”

Beyoncé shared the stage with Coldplay, including frontman Chris Martin (in a white tee and floral-embellished jeans) and Bruno Mars (in head to toe leather).
