Blake’s back to work!
Blake Lively went back in time (fashionably speaking, of course) while filming her new movie, Age of Adaline, in Vancouver on March 17.
The Gossip Girl alum, 26, plays the titular character, who stops aging after surviving a near-fatal accident in the early 20th century. The film, which also stars Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn, follows Adaline through the years, which hopefully means we’ll get a fun look at the best retro styles of the century (Fingers crossed for Lively in a flapper dress!).
First up seems to be a 1950s scene as Lively sported a retro look of a pastel color-blocked sweater, emerald flare skirt, and camel coat on set on March 17. Lively’s blonde hair was parted on the side and pulled back into a low ponytail with twists in the front.
But it’s not all work and no play for Lively: Husband Ryan Reynolds (a Vancouver native!) met her on set for lunch, looking sexy in a dark grey plaid jacket, jeans, and, our favorite, a bit of scruff. The RIPD star, 37, also let a more natural salt-and-pepper hair color take over.
The Lee Toland Krieger-directed film is the first movie for Lively since 2012’s Savages. In the interim, she’s been focusing on a new lifestyle brand a la Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Goop. “The main element of it is that it’s about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that,” she told Vogue UK. “There’s nothing like it out there — it’s without a genre.”
