Just in time for the weekend, here are three celeb-tested and editor-approved style and beauty trends spotted on the stars this week.
The dressy jumpsuit trend got a bold update with celebrities rocking red versions this week. Cameron Diaz stunned in her strapless Dior, Britney Spears wowed in a plunging neckline version, while Carmen Electra looked sexy in her lacy one-piece.
Try the trend with the H&M Sleeveless Jumpsuit ($49.95, Hm.com), also available in black, which can be paired with a blazer for daytime and statement jewelry for a glam evening out.
For Knightley’s look at the Toronto International Film Festival, Chanel makeup artist Kate Lee used the cherry-red Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in La Flamboyante. “First, I applied the color in a very precise way using a lip brush to sculpt the shape and softened out the lip line with a Q-tip,” she tells Us Weekly. “I then used Laura Mercier Invisible Powder to keep the lip soft at the edges and then applied the color again just in the center of the lip. The result is a diffused lip line, which is very modern and easy to wear.”
For Byrne’s bright lip at the Toronto International Film Festival, celeb makeup artist Georgie Eisdell used Chanel Rouge Allure Lip Color in Incandescente. “I wanted her skin and eyes to be natural and clean, because I wanted to add warmth and a pop of color to the fall look,” Eisdell tells Us.
If there was a such a thing as the must-have bag during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for the Spring 2015 collections, it would be the bespoke clutches by Edie Parker. Stars including Lily Aldridge, Jessica Hart, and Nicky Hilton were all spotted with the customized acrylic purses.
Snag the ultra-luxe personalized purse for $1,595 at Edie-parker.com. Pick from 10 colors for the clutch and font, three for the hardware, and either cursive or print for the script.
