Cardi B and Offset always look like a flawless duo when they’re out on the town, sitting front row at fashion week, hitting the red carpet together or just chilling at home. And the pair, who secretly tied the knot in September 2017, always seem to rock looks that complement each other’s. (They even match from time-to-time and have his and hers Lamborghinis.)
While it seems like the “Bodak Yellow” songstress and her hubby are on the same page with just about everything, Cardi B sat down with Stylish on Wednesday, November 14, at the Fashion Nova x Cardi B launch party in Hollywood and revealed that they have completely different taste when it comes to her date night outfits.
“I always like wearing something tight, very sexy, that brings out my curves, brings out my breasts, but not too slutty, because sometimes, my man, you’ll be surprised, he really likes when I’m covered up, she explained. “He’s just like, ‘Wow, that is so sexy on you.’”
Regardless of whether she’s bare faced with a tank top on in an Instagram video or in full glam and a gown, it’s clear that the 26-year-old can pull off pretty much anything. And designers like Jeremy Scott, Gucci, Balenciaga and Dolce & Gabbana have noticed!
“My style has evolved because when I first started everything I couldn’t afford certain things. I didn’t have reach to certain stylists or designers that I wanted to wear and now I’ve actually got the reach and I can wear them,” she told Stylish. “They know me and they love me.”
One of her favorite fashion moments? “For the AMAs Dolce & Gabbana designed every look — my outfit for the red carpet and my outfit for my performance. Those are the types of things I didn’t have access to and now do,” she said.
If she’s not rocking head-to-toe designer garb, Cardi can be seen rocking more affordable gear from brands like Fashion Nova. Her collab with the brand consists of 82 styles with standout pieces like a long, oversized cognac faux fur jacket and wide leg faux leather pants.
