Ride that wave! Gigi Hadid bid adieu to her flatiron in London, letting her curls go free on Monday, June 13.
The Maybelline brand ambassador, 21, wore her blonde locks in loose ringlets as she visited her boyfriend, Zayn Malik, at a recording studio. Her hair, which is usually styled stick straight or in beachy waves, gave off ’80s rock-star vibes, just like her outfit. She styled a band tee with light-wash Mother jeans, platform sneakers and a velvet duster, and accessorized with round, gold-frame sunglasses and a Versace Palazzo bag.
Hadid once revealed that the secret to her model mane is keeping her hands off of it. “I don’t wash my hair every day, which is what keeps it healthy because that way it doesn’t dry out,” she shared with Into the Gloss. “I get some balayage highlights on top so then when it grows out you can’t tell it’s been colored … I only go every six months or so.”
Although it’s only Tuesday, Hadid’s not the only star who’s switched up her texture this week. Jenna Dewan Tatum surprised her 2.7 million followers with a selfie that showed off curlier locks on June 13.
“Anyone wanna bring back the spiral perm with me?” she asked.
And like Hadid, Tatum, who shares daughter Everly with husband Channing, is also low maintenance when it comes to her locks. “Generally I shower or use dry shampoo, and it lays like this because it’s such a good cut. It just lays nice,” she told Glamour. “I have wavy hair, so it just falls into place, but it’s way easier than long hair.”
