Bringing it back! Studio-54 vibes are taking 2018 with global style influencer Brittany Xavier’s new limited-edition collab with, INSPR, appropriately named INSPR-D by Brittany Xavier. The collection, made up of 23 pieces, features ‘70s influenced styles in rich jewel tones, luxe velvet and silky satins and ranges from $58.90 to 129 with sizes from 0 to 18. And we’re getting all the deets on the designs, tips for mixing high and low fashion and vintage shopping tricks from Xavier herself.
“I wanted to create pieces that women would feel cool and confident in for the holiday season and that are also designed to be mixed and matched and worn from day to night,” she tells Stylish.
And when it comes to her sense of fashion, comfort is key no matter what. “My style is classy, chic, versatile and edgy, but I always want to be comfortable in whatever I’m wearing: no itchy fabrics or ill-fitting pieces, but with that, I always tend to choose more structured pieces with interesting detail or fabric,” she adds.
Besides comfy pieces, Xavier also loves to mix up designer brands and more affordable pieces in her outfits. “An affordable blouse looks amazing with a designer coat or jacket and a nice pair of jeans that fit really well make an affordable blouse look really nice,” she explains.
As for some designer pieces on her wish list right now? “I’m all about accessories right now that are worth the splurge. A Dior choker and Chanel earrings are currently at the top of my list!”
And when she’s shopping for vintage items, Xavier says knowing your body and what you’re looking for is key. “The sizes are different than modern sizes, so know your measurements… I usually have to size up,” she explains. “It’s also good to have an idea of what you’re looking for, so it will make it less overwhelming. I like to flag alerts on different sites so that way I’m notified if they get that piece in. Right now I’m loving Treasures of NYC and What Goes Around Comes Around,” she reveals.
