Dancing With the Stars fans are not only buzzing about Jennifer Grey's stellar moves on the dance floor.
They also can't stop talking about how, at 50, she hasn't aged a wink since her heyday in 1987 when she starred in Dirty Dancing (see photo, left).
Grey — who has an 8-year-old daughter, Stella, with actor/director Clark Gregg — has definitely been through a lot.
In the early 90s, she underwent a botched nose job; a second surgery done to repair the damage changed her face so drastically that friends couldn't recognize her, and she couldn't land parts in TV or film.
"It's absurd that just a nose job could wreak such havoc," she told The Washington Post in 1999.
Last year, the actress faced an even scarier hurdle: She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
Before she signed on for DWTS, she had her neck checked out because she had been experiencing pain (she survived a horrific car accident in Ireland in 1987).
Her doctor warned her about hitting the dance floor. "[My doctor] said, 'You can't do that Jen, you'll get paralyzed if you fall … So you need to fuse your neck,'" she recently told Access Hollywood.
As she prepared to have her spine fused, her surgeon noticed a lump on her neck.
She hasn't revealed whether she is 100 percent cancer-free, but she told Access Hollywood her cancer is "curative. I don't consider myself in the same league as people who have had to go through chemotherapy."
She recently told UsMagazine.com her surgeries were "the scariest thing in the world," but they allowed her to face her fears.
"I'm ticking things off my list: I had a tumor removed; I had spinal surgery; I had four surgeries in three months," she told Us. "Now, here I am, dancing the jive! I am so happy!"
