The countdown is on!
With only a few days left until The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 hits theaters on Nov. 21, the stars of the highly anticipated film slayed the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere on Monday, Nov. 17. Who better to lead the parade of killer dresses than Jennifer Lawrence?
The series’ star wowed in a silk jacquard voluminous Dior gown, altered from its original floor-sweeping length into a midi style. The French fashion house’s spokeswoman, 24, accessorized her standout frock with gold metallic “Linda” sandals by Aquazzura and pearl studded earrings by Vita Fede. Natural makeup and an easy updo completed her striking look.
Jena Malone oozed old Hollywood glamour in a bright red Emanuel Ungaro gown with Charlotte Olympia gold pumps. The fearless actress, 29, took a risk wearing all red (including hair and lip), and it paid off.
Natalie Dormer channeled her Game of Thrones‘ character in an eye-catching yellow gown by Rochas, which showed some skin via a V-shaped cutout in the front. The actress, 32, added sparkle to her look with Pomellato white diamond earrings. Dormer’s warm blonde hair was curled in waves, and she finished the look with a bright red lip.
Elizabeth Banks got leggy in a high-cut silk jacquard red dress by Leonard, styled with gold Roger Vivier pumps and a Rauwolf clutch, and explained what drew her to choose the dress for the premiere. “I just love the layering of the fabric, and the fabric’s very old and very beautiful.”
Julianne Moore displayed her body in a black sequined fringe Tom Ford dress with a plunging neckline. She accessorized with black gladiator sandals and a shimmering clutch.
Willow Shields fell in love with her evening’s Christian Siriano dress during New York Fashion Week. “I actually saw a version of this dress at his spring show at New York Fashion Week and I said, ‘Oh my gosh. I love that dress so much,”’ she spilled to Us Weekly on the red carpet. “And he said, ‘Well, I want to do a custom gown for you for the premiere.’ And I said, ‘Base it off of that dress, and I’ll be very happy.'”
