Well, we know how this goes! You get bangs, and then you’re already frustrated with them after just one month. All that extra work to keep them styled just so isn’t worth it, right Kate Middleton?
Though the Duchess of Cambridge debuted her fringe on Sunday, Sept. 13, it already appears that the wife of Prince William is over the face-framing style.
In three recent public appearances, Middleton, 33, provided tangible evidence that she’s been making an effort to keep her bangs, now long enough to be sideswept, away from her face.
Exhibit A: Nearly a month after she cut her fringe, Middleton (recycling a Tory Burch dress from her 2014 visit to New Zealand) kept them swept to the side while wearing her hair down at Harrow College in London on Oct. 10.
Exhibit B: On Tuesday, Oct. 20, the mom of Prince George, 2, and Princess Charlotte, 5 months, wore her hair in an elegant, low chignon — no bangs in sight. Instead, Middleton smoothed her shorter strands artfully away (with the help of some extra-hold hairspray, no doubt) from her visage choosing to highlight her heirloom accessory — the Lotus Flower Tiara — at a formal dinner honoring Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Exhibit C: The following day, Middleton, wowing in a plum-colored Dolce & Gabbana frock and matching pumps, visited Lancaster House in London with her hair down and her fringe noticeably curled away from her face to keep them at bay.
