Kate Moss Clothing Launch Sparks Fashion Frenzy!

Fashionistas with sharp elbows stormed Topshop on Monday night at the launch of Kate Moss' clothing line, while the model posed briefly in the store window like a mannequin. According to the British newspaper The Sun, employees at the store tried to maintain control by letting in shoppers in groups of 150 at a time, allowing them only 20 minutes of browse time. Kate, 33, wore a red dress to the special four-hour preview session which took place at the flagship store on London's Oxford Street. Topshop ordered huge quantities of the clothes, expecting high demand. A spokeswoman for the chain said: "Most of the things have been bought in large volumes." Nevertheless, to prevent shoppers from buying the clothes in bulk and then selling them on eBay, customers were allowed to buy just five items each. The same rules will apply when the clothes are launched in 225 stores nationwide on Tuesday morning. Students Anna Gordon and Molly Marot, both 13, and Lalaya Lumley, 14, ditched class early for the sale, and showed up with "I Love Kate Moss" scrawled across their foreheads in neon pen. Moss' mother, Linda, and actress Sadie Frost, were on hand to show their support, as well as socialite Peaches Geldof and supermodel Lily Cole. Moss, who had a stint in rehab in 2005, sipped champagne with the chain's billionaire owner, Philip Green. "It's exciting," he said. "It wouldn't be here if we didn't believe in it." What makes Moss' designs so special? "Her style is different."
