Several of Hollywood's small-screen (and some silver screen!) leading ladies will be hitting the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles September 18, decked out in their red carpet best. And besides a stunning gown, dazzling jewels and gorgeous hair and makeup, a perfect manicure will be the best accessory — especially for those who win.

"Celebrities don't want their nails to take away from the trophy they could be holding," manicurist to the stars Deborah Lippmann tells Us Weekly. Below, her nail trend predictions for Sunday night's event.

"We'll always see sheer pink, however I think we'll be seeing beige come center stage. Beige is the new sheer pink and its popularity is rising," she says, recommending Lippmann Collection Nail Lacquer in Fashion or Naked ($16 each, lippmanncollection.com). She adds that neutral hues are an overall safe bet since "nails have to coordinate with what the celebrity is wearing and often times they don't know until the day of or as close as an hour before they leave their house or hotel."

But for those stars who like to experiment with their manicures, Lippmann says that guilded nails and classic red are two A-list choices.

"Beautiful, soft, shimmering gold looks good on everyone," she says. "And you might see the occasional beautiful red because it is Hollywood after all! Red delivers a glam look and is always a trending color."

Although Demi Lovato, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Katy Perry rocked mixed metals and eye-popping manicures during August's MTV VMAs, Lippmann assures that Sunday's stars won't dare be that bold.

"One thing I can tell you: I don't think we'll be seeing is nail art or wild nails," Lippmann tells Us. "Award show season is all about sophistication."
