Wrapping up Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week at one of the last shows of the season, Kendall Jenner stomped the runway at Marc Jacobs fall 2015 presentation on Thursday, Feb. 19, working some seriously pale face makeup.
While Sofia Coppola, Nicki Minaj, and Christina Ricci watched from the front row, the face of Estee Lauder wore a porcelain face, teamed with bold, straight brows, gray shadow, and an oxblood lip, created by Francois Nars.
“Marc wanted a very strong, elegant and sophisticated woman this season—a Diana Vreeland type. I looked to the swans of the ’50s and ’60s, like Babe Paley or Jacqueline de Ribes, to inspire the look. Matte skin and a defined brow bring a nice structure to the face, balancing the greige gloss of the lid with the matte, velvety eggplant color of the lip,” Nars said in a statement.
Her hair was equally unexpected. Kris Jenner‘s second-youngest daughter rocked a knotted pompadour, winged out to one side.
Admittedly, the entire beauty look was the perfect modern complement to Jacobs’ latest designs. Jenner walked the runway wearing a yellow rose-print ’50s-style dress, topped with a sparkling sweater and cinched with a bedazzled skinny belt. Leather gloves added edge to the funky, yet still retro-inspired, ensemble.
Marc Jacobs was just one of a number of runways Jenner graced this past week. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who covers Allure for March 2015, was also spotted at Michael Kors, DVF, Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang, and Marc by Marc Jacobs, to name a few.
And with all of that success, her biggest fans wanted to congratulate her! Jenner posted a snap to her Instagram page on Feb. 18, featuring at least nine bouquets of long-stem red roses, which she simply captioned with a rosebud emoji.
