Zendaya, 19, worked her lithe frame in a rainbow corset-style crop top, teamed with a peplum skirt lined in the same colorful print as her top (both by Rani Zakhem). The K.C. Undercover actress finished her ensemble with blush pointed-toe pumps.
Meanwhile, leading lady Washington, 39, who stars as Anita Hill in the film, rocked a tea-length, rose-and-daisy-print Dolce & Gabbana dress. The Scandal actress accessorized with an embellished clutch and Christian Louboutin ankle-strap sandals. (Via instagram, the OPI creative director also shared her caramel nail polish shade from the brand: Barefoot in Barcelona.)
Washington spoke to Us about why she wanted to take on the roll of Hill, who opened a discussion on workplace sexual harassment after she accused Supreme Court Justice nominee Clarence Thomas of harassment. "I think the film is a lot about courage," she said. "It's a lot about power and being up against forces that feel more powerful than you."
The Django Unchained actress added, "It's one of the things that really drew me to the project and into the role, because I feel like on Scandal, I may play somebody who's always the most powerful person in the room. And I thought, What about playing somebody who's on the other side of the spectrum when it comes to D.C. politics?"
