Kim Kardashian is at it again with another must-have collection — this time it’s a shapewear line.
On Tuesday, June 25, the Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s star took to Instagram to announce her latest business venture: Kimono Solutionwear.
In the caption, she explained that the development of the undergarments came from her own personal frustrations with the limited selections that were available in this space. “I would always cut up my shapewear to make my own styles,” she wrote. “And there have also been so many times I couldn’t find a shapeware color that blended with my skin tone so we needed a solution for all of this.”
This is something she says she’s been passionate about for 15 years, so she decided to spend the last year working on creating this specific brand to address all of her complaints and needs.
The first worry she addressed with the line is the difficulties of finding a garment that would work under skirt or dress with a high slit up one side. She wanted to keep the longer side smoothed down with a compression short but the other leg needed to come up higher. We’ve seen the 38-year-old struggle with this mishap, most recently in January 2019 when she stepped out with hubby Kanye West wearing a form-fitting dress with a slit up her left leg that revealed her beige Spanx.
So what did she do? Made a high-low option with one leg that comes down to mid-thigh and another that arches up to the hip. In her third picture on Instagram, she displays this handy-dandy solution.
The second issue she tackled was the limited color variations that she felt didn’t represent the many different skin tones — so her line is starting with nine shades. Keeping with an inclusive message, she also developed sizes ranging from XXS to 4XL.

There is no exact launch date yet, as the star says it’s “coming soon.” Guess we’ll have to keep our ears to the ground to get in on all this slimming goodness.
