After much speculation (will it be short? will it be Vera?), Kim Kardashian‘s wedding dress was finally revealed. Three days after her Florentine wedding to Kanye West, the bride, 33, shared gorgeous pictures of her wedding dress via Instagram, while West revealed the same images via Twitter.
The custom haute couture Givenchy gown by Riccardo Tisci featured long sleeves, a sheer lace back, and a long train. Kardashian also wore ivory satin four-inch heels created for her by Giuseppe Zanotti. See more pics from Kimye’s wedding weekend.
The intricate design was a stark contrast to Kardashian’s classic gown from her second wedding to Kris Humphries. For her August 2011 wedding to the NBA star, held in Montecito, Calif., Kardashian family friend Vera Wang designed the ceremony dress for the bride. The strapless gown featured a fitted lace bodice and a tulle ball gown skirt. She wore a diamond headband with a long veil.
However, the regal style of her most recent wedding dress has Us thinking of another gown.
When the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton wed Prince William in April 2011, she stunned in a long-sleeved lace design by Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton. Middleton also kept her dress’ designer close to her heart until the day of her nuptials.
The two brides wore long veils with blushers, and just like Middleton’s wedding dress, Kardashian’s gown also featured a dramatic train, all the better for a grand entrance.
