Kylie Jenner made a stunning appearance at the Met Gala — without boyfriend Timothée Chalamet by her side.
The reality star, 28, posed in an intricate Custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture nude ensemble that blended into a white gown at the bottom. Chalamet, meanwhile, wasn’t photographed on the red carpet for the “Costume Art” theme at the Monday, May 4, gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The Dune actor, 30, made his solo debut at the annual fundraiser in 2021, when he served as a cochair. Jenner, for her part, has been a mainstay at the event for years, making eight appearances at fashion’s biggest night since 2016. Coincidentally, she was not present the year her future boyfriend attended.
Some speculated at the time that Chalamet and Jenner would make their joint Met Gala debut in 2025 as their romance continued to blossom. However, while Jenner dominated the red carpet in a Ferragamo sheer corset dress, Chalamet skipped the gala to watch a New York Knicks game at home.
Despite the missed opportunity, Jenner and Chalamet surprised fans days after the 2025 Met Gala by making their official red carpet debut at the David di Donatello Awards in Rome. That December, the couple made a fashion statement at the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme, wearing matching custom Chrome Hearts ensembles for their second red carpet appearance.

Since the two began dating in 2023, Chalamet and Jenner have limited their joint red carpet moments. Although she has frequently been his date to various awards shows, such as the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, she’s always met him inside the high-profile events after the actor posed for photos alone. At the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March, the duo made an exception when they got cozy on the red carpet.
Later that month, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Jenner and Chalamet are “very serious and committed to each other” after three years of dating.
“Their relationship is very strong and they have a good rhythm going,” the insider revealed at the time, adding that the couple “definitely had a lot of real conversations about their future and what they both want.”
As for their next step, the source shared, “They’re not rushing into marriage, but they’re totally aligned and have even talked about getting engaged this year.”
While Jenner is already a mother to daughter Stormi, 8, and son Aire, 4, with ex-boyfriend Travis Scott, she has been forthcoming about her desire to have more children.
“Kylie really wants another baby and has been open about the fact that she doesn’t feel like she needs to be married to do that, and they’re both on the same page about wanting a kid together,” the insider told Us. “Timothée never thought about starting a family until he met Kylie.”
