Lovely Lucy! Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale stunned on the red carpet Sunday, Aug. 24, with the assistance of her go-to makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan.
“Lucy is pulling double duty today with both walking the VMA carpet as well as hosting the pre-show for MTV," Deenihan exclusively told Us Weekly. "Double duty calls for two looks. We are keeping the eyes the same but changing up the lip colors. The hosting look will be a bit more flirty and her carpet look more sultry.”

The host of the MTV VMAs pre-show, 25, evened out her complexion with La Prairie's Cellular Creme Platinum Rare Ultimate Rejuvenating Cream followed by Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation for a flawless base. Deenihan topped it off with a pressed powder and illuminating shimmer to add color to the star's cheeks.
Hale's lips were coated with a simple neutral mauve gloss and bright magenta color by mark to complement her Sachin & Babi crop top.
Deenihan, though, put the most emphasis on Hale's eyes, which she wanted to elongate in an almond shape. To achieve this look, Deenihan used Mark On the Dot Neutral Eye Color Compact and applied eye shadow in mixtures, going from the darkest shade on the outer corners of the eyes to a gradual lighter hue toward the inner part. The makeup pro smudged a darker color underneath Hale's eyes and added a waterproof eyeliner in black to enhance her features. Finally, she generously coated Hale's lashes with Mark Lash Act Mascara in Blackest Black.
The star posted a picture of herself getting primped before heading off to the show via Instagram, too. "Welcome to the pony show courtesy of @kristin_ess," she wrote alongside a snap of her wild hairstyle.
