Pretty little Lucy!
For the fall issue of Mark’s magalog, Lucy Hale rocks two totally different smoky eye looks. In this exclusive look at the Pretty Little Liars actress, 25, Mark celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg relies on an unexpected color for her eye makeup. “Blue adds a creative element,” Greenberg tells Us Weekly. “It shows personality and spark!”
Take her blue cue and choose a shade based on your skin tone. “Icy or deep blues look pretty if you have blue eyes and a light, cool skin tones,” Greenberg, who used What a Line Max Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Electric Blue on Hale, explains. “Turquoise and teals flatter dark eyes and dark, warm tones, while blues with purple bases look great on hazel or green eyes and warm skin tones.”
For the cover, Greenberg decided on a strong eye using more traditional shades of brown. “I wanted to create a mysterious, sexy and strong beauty look for Lucy,” she tells Us. “I love a dark-rimmed eye for fall and it creates an edgy look that everyone can pull off!”
To enhance Hale’s eyes, Greenberg used the beauty brand’s Color Swing Mix It Up Eye Palette (available Aug. 8) in medium brown over the lids and the dark brown along the crease, blending it outward. She lined the upper lids in What A Line Max Waterproof Eyeliner in Blackest Black and extended it slightly for a cat eye. Then she smudged the dark brown shadow along the upper and lower lash lines and finished with two coats of Lash Act Build and Define Mascara in Blackest Black.
