We can all go home, because Lupita Nyong'o just won the Oscars red carpet for the second year in a row!
Nyong'o arrived on the red carpet at the 87th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood on Feb. 22, in a stunning dress that was literally dripping with pearls.
The 12 Years a Slave actress, 31, who took home the Best Supporting Actress prize at the 2014 Oscars, followed up last year's ice blue Prada confection with a custom ivory Calvin Klein Collection by Francisco Costa halter dress, embellished with 6,000 pearls. Dazzling diamond drop earrings completed her ensemble.
For beauty, Nyong'o, who brought her brother, Peter, as her date, modeled shimmering skin, with a silver smoky eye, peach cheeks, and a marsala lip hue.
After the mania of her last awards season, where she swept at nearly every show, Nyong'o confessed on the red carpet, "The pressure is off! All I have to do is dress up and enjoy the show."
For those who were eager to see what the style star would be wearing to the 2015 ceremony, the Yale School of Drama grad did give her fans a hint earlier that day via her Instagram page, where she posted a picture of Prince holding a pearl necklace. "Channeling my inner Prince(ss) today. Happy #Oscars Day, people!," she wrote.
