The Row designers opted for elaborate, body-covering pieces as they headed into the Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate its China: Through the Looking Glass exhibition on Monday night.

Mary-Kate, 28, wearing an elaborate robe-style gown, swept her trademark blonde tresses back and paired her look with ornate earrings and jewels by David Webb.

Ashley, meanwhile, tied half of her locks up in a tiny topknot with her hair parted down the center. Ashley paired her look with diamond, emerald, and rock crystal rings by David Webb.

The twins' red carpet appearance comes hot on the heels of some drama involving the confirmed reboot of their beloved '90s family series Full House. Initially, Mary-Kate told fashion pub Women's Wear Daily that she and her twin sister had "just found out" about Fuller House, after John Stamos himself confirmed the reboot was happening.

"I guess we're going to talk to the creators and see what's happening," she told WWD, which resulted in Stamos – who played their character's uncle on the show and is producing the new series — to "call bulls—" on his former castmates.

Later, Stamos tweeted that he had a "sweet talk" with Mary-Kate about the misunderstanding. "There [are] way more important things going [on] in the world today," the actor, 51, wrote last week.
