Michelle Obama showed her support for an All-American designer during her Tuesday night speech at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC.
FLOTUS, 48, looked fabulous in a pink floral brocade Tracy Reese frock and coordinating J. Crew Everly suede pumps in rhubarb — proving once again, you don’t need to shell out big bucks to look chic. (Obama accessorized her elegant look with Kimberly McDonald diamond and moonstone earrings.)
The Detroit-born Reese’s designs have been a favorite of the First Lady’s during her four-plus years in the spotlight alongside her husband, President Barack Obama. (In May, Obama wore a sophisticated blue Tracy Reese dress for her Ebony magazine cover).
Obama rocks hers, as well as other American designers’ clothing — including pieces by Rodarte, Vera Wang, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors — frequently, and she’s never been afraid to mix up budget and high-end labels. (J. Crew, Talbots and ASOS are all favorites.)
