I've never been one to have a strong opinion about invitations. To me, invitations were just paper that contain important information, and upon first look, it usually gets thrown away. Well, my entire perception of invitations was thrown out the window when I walked into the Ceci New York studio. The walls didn't need any artwork, because they were filled with some of the most amazing invitations I had ever set eyes upon, including invitations for events hosted by Diddy, and Katherine Heigl's wedding. There were invitations that were on plexi-glass and wine bottles, and envelopes made of velvet and encrusted with jewels. Words could not do these invitations justice.
We had the pleasure of meeting Lisa Hoffman, who was so sweet and helpful. She wanted to create a very personal and meaningful invitation for us. When she told us she can do anything we wanted, she really meant it! There isn't anything that this woman cannot do. She ended up designing us a simple yet classy invitation that incorporated our color scheme consisting of warm fall colors, and even added personal touches, such as the laser cut pattern that is on my wedding dress! I cannot wait to start getting the beautiful metallic RSVP envelopes in my mailbox! These dream invitations really set the tone for our dream wedding!
The pattern on my Vera Wang wedding gown will be duplicated on the cinnamon brown invites (which cost $4,600). They'll also be addressed in hand hand calligraphy.
