Olivia Munn is here with a travel beauty hack that will instantly improve your in-flight experience whether you’re jet setting in first class-style or sitting in coach. We recently caught up with the X-Men actress at the Luxury House by #spgamex to celebrate the new Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Luxury Card, and she shared with Us some of her best skincare and makeup secrets that she’s picked up from all her years working with pros around the globe. In order to counteract that freezing cold and oh-so-dry airplane air, Munn has taken to carrying one of those hot water bottles you pick up at the drugstore onto her flights. Once onboard, she asks the flight attendants to fill it up with the boiling water they use to make tea and coffee, which turns it into a makeshift heating pad.
“I just sit with that,” she says. “It literally changes every trip. It just makes everything so much more cozy and comfortable, and I literally couldn’t travel anywhere without that.”
But that’s not her only airplane ritual. The brunette beauty is a skincare fanatic (she loves Lancôme and Tacha products, in addition to regular treatments with facialist-to-the-stars Shani Darden), and we all know that the arid air does your skin no favors. To keep her face glowy and hydrated, Munn is all about face masks and isn’t averse to an in-flight facial.
“I just think that’s really important for hydrating your skin, especially when you’re up in the air,” she shares. “Lancôme has these really great hydrogel masks and I will put on a mask when I’m on those really long flights.”
For shorter travel (or to boost moisture once the sheet mask comes off), the actress also keeps a bottle of the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist handy for regular spritzing.
