Olivia Munn

Olivia Munn is an actress, television personality and author best known for her roles in The Newsroom, X-Men: Apocalypse and The Predator. Munn spent much of her childhood overseas after her mother remarried a member of the U.S. Air Force, living in Tokyo during her early years before returning to the United States. She went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in Japanese and dramatic arts.

Munn began her career as a local television reporter before transitioning into entertainment hosting. She gained national attention as a cohost on Attack of the Show! and later became a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Her acting career expanded with roles in various films, including The Road to Canyon Lake (2005) and Big Stan (2007) before she landed her breakout dramatic role as Sloan Sabbith on HBO’s The Newsroom.

In addition to The Newsroom, Munn has appeared in Office Christmas Party (2016), X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), The Predator (2018) and the Apple TV+ series Your Friends & Neighbors. She received the Breakthrough Actress Award at the 2016 Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Awards. In 2024, Munn publicly revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and underwent multiple surgeries after genetic testing identified an elevated risk.

Munn was previously linked to Aaron Rodgers from 2014 to 2017. She began dating John Mulaney in 2021, and they welcomed son Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney (born in 2021). The couple married in 2024 and later welcomed daughter Méi June Mulaney (born in 2024) via surrogate.
