After tying the knot, clad in an elegant strapless ivory Vera Wang custom-made gown, Kim Kardashian switched things up for the lavish reception in a cleavage-baring number (also by the famed bridal designer) that was more suitable for dancing on Saturday in Montecito, Calif.
As she hit the floor with her newlywed beau, NBA basketball player Kris Humphries, the E! reality star donned an ivory satin V-neck gown. She ditched the Lorraine Schwartz diamond headpiece and veil she wore during the ceremony for a sparkling barrette pinned over her left ear — her hair was down and styled over her right shoulder.
Earlier at the reception, the 30-year-old bride made her debut as Mrs. Kris Humphries and donned an ivory mermaid gown with hand-piece Chantilly lace applique on the bodice and a skirt with hand-cut organza petals intermixed with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery, according to E! Online.
An onlooker tells Us Weekly, "The first dress didn't do her body justice in my opinion, but the second two dresses really accentuated her bottom."
While the exact cost of each Vera Wang gown is not being disclosed, a source estimates the ivory dress she wore down the aisle cost around $25,000. "[The cost] all depends on the work, the silhouette, the details and the time involved," the source tells Us.
