TV’s most glamorous night naturally has some equally glamorous gowns. The 68th annual Emmy Awards, which airs on Sunday, September 18, from Los Angeles, will honor the small screen’s biggest stars, and will undoubtedly give Us plenty of jaw-dropping dresses to marvel at for seasons to come. But before that happens, drool over the most stunning looks of all time, as seen on Kerry Washington, Sarah Jessica Parker and more, in today’s Red Carpet Daily, presented by AT&T.
At the 2015 ceremony, Scandal‘s star, 39, modeled a silver mesh dress edged with gold metallic sequins by Marc Jacobs, along with metallic silver sandals and over $1.25 million worth of Harry Winston jewels. The dress, which debuted on the runway at New York Fashion Week only three days before, was fashionable and functional. “There are holes in it, so I feel the breeze in all the right places,” she told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet. “It’s working in this heat.”
In 2003, Parker, 51, took a softer approach. The Sex and the City lead wore a baby pink strapless Chanel Haute Couture gown with tons of tulle and lace. The Karl Lagerfeld–designed creation took 250 hours to make, according to the Associated Press at the time. “It reminded me of cotton candy. I just thought it was the most lovely thing,” the actress who played Carrie Bradshaw told Joan Rivers during the E! preshow. “I can’t believe I got to wear it.”
