Hangtime! Rihanna, who loves to switch up her hairstyles, shared a pic of her brand-new ‘do on Monday, October 3: dreadlock extensions.
The “Love on the Brain” singer, who just posted a snap of her long, black, center-parted tresses at the Dior Paris Fashion Week 2016 show on October 1, shared a black-and-white selfie clad in a long-sleeved top and lace-up boots. Her standout feature, the dreadlocks, were nearly the same length as her T-shirt. “buffalo $oldier,” she captioned the photo.
It looks like the Grammy Award winner is already getting into character for Ocean’s 8, the all-female Ocean’s Eleven reboot. “Rihanna tries to have a lot of input in the film,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Recently, she requested that her character should have dreadlocks.”
This isn’t the first time that the Anti musician has rocked locs. For the May 2012 American Idol finale, she wore a high ponytail with dreadlock extensions and a straight, eye-grazing bang.
“What made you want dreads babe?” a fan tweeted her after the show on May 23, 2012. She replied: “since I was 14, but mama Fent’z wasn’t havin it! Hehe.”
And when another fan asked if her hair was heavy, she replied as only RiRi can: “as Goliath’s balls,” she wrote.
