Welcome back! Shania Twain made her return to the red carpet after two long years, at the CMT Artists of the Year Awards in Nashville on Wednesday, October 19, where she won the Artist of a Lifetime trophy.
The “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” singer, 51, looked dynamite in a long-sleeve, wide-leg black jumpsuit with a front cutout, silver bangles and a mirrored silver clutch. She wore her dark blonde hair in teased, tousled waves, noticeably shorter than her shoulder-length locks in a September 20 Instagram post.
Even though we’ve seen her on tour, Twain looked just as good in her fancier duds as when we saw at her last formal event — the 3rd Annual Bliss Ball in Toronto, where she wore a sleek black dress with sheer sleeve details.
On the CMT carpet, the Grammy Award winner told Us Weekly that her husband, Frederic Thiebaud, is one of the reasons why she’s glowing. “He spearheads a lot of that confidence. It’s not that I depend on him to give me that confidence, but I do believe that my husband sort of confirms things for me,” she revealed. “He’s a man, so I want a man’s perspective. When I’m feeling good about something and then I get his vote of approval, then I’m feeling good.”
A healthy lifestyle also helps Twain look and feel good too. “I feel the sexiest and the most confident when I’m fit,” she continued. “It’s not about size or anything like that. I just need to feel fit and energetic. When I’m treating myself well, I feel my best. I feel like crap when I eat crap. I think it’s more about self care, which I do more of these days as I get older.”
