How sweet? On Saturday, Aug. 22, Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell finally tied the knot after a 10-year romance and several-year engagement. The Teen Mom OG stars were surrounded by their family and friends at the stunning Castle Farms venue in Charlevoix, Michigan.
On Monday, Aug. 24, Baltierra showed off his new wedding bling via Instagram with the caption, “It's gonna take me awhile to get used to this. It reminds me of the feeling I got the first time I ever put on a flip flop lol but I'm forever honored to wear this knowing MY WIFE gave it to me, gotta get used to saying that too haha my wife! @catelynnmtv #MarriedMan #Together10Years #MarriedFor2Days.”
Quirky comparisons aside, the pair seemed thrilled to finally be man and wife and their MTV costars were overjoyed to be celebrating the big day with them. Amber Portwood and Maci Bookout traveled to Michigan for the fairy-tale-themed nuptials as did Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry. (Estranged Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham was not invited.)
Baltierra and Lowell, both 23, were originally set to get married in July 2013, but after a stint on VH1’s Couples Therapy, the pair temporarily called off the wedding. They share daughter Novalee, 8 months, and Carly, 6, who is currently in the care of her adoptive parents Brandon and Teresa.
“I believe Cate was brought into this world and destined to be loved by me, cherished by me, admired by me, and forever cared for by me,” Baltierra told Us of his bride. “There is no one else I would rather be than her husband and the father of her children. … I’m so honored and blessed to be able to grow old with her.”
