Rosy outlook! Although a daytime shade that works well at night can be tricky to find, Felicity Jones accomplished just that at the Governors Awards on November 12, with her deep-rose lip.
“After seeing the beautiful pale-pink embroidered flowers on the bodice of [Jones’ Miu Miu] gown, I decided to choose a lip color that would stand out, while at the same time compliment the soft pastel pinks in the dress,” celeb makeup artist Katey Denno tells Stylish. “Felicity’s personal style is classic and chic, and I knew a deep-rose lipstick with a satin finish would be the perfect way to tie the look together.” Kosås’ Rosewater lipstick did the trick. The product finishes sheer and applies just like a lip balm with its mango butter, shea butter and sweet orange oil components.
For the Los Angeles event also attended by Helen Mirren and Nicole Kidman, Denno, who’s worked with Rebel Wilson and Chelsea Handler, prepped Jones’ skin with May Lindstrom The Jasmine Garden Face Toner, and followed up with The Nourisher Precious Rose Face Oil to add a little glow before applying Vapour Organic Beauty foundation.
A few swipes of Vapour Organic Beauty Mesmerize Eyeliner in black along her lash lines as well as black mascara added drama to Jones’ hazel eyes. Denno combined two eyeshadows for one shimmery champagne-colored shade Sunset Beach 41 and 43 from RMS to complete her signature eye makeup look.
