Barrymore, pictured with glowing skin wearing a bright red lip at the Refinery29 presentation of 29Rooms in NYC in September 2016, religiously protects her skin. “As you get older, you have melasma and babies and you get this kind of crazy pigment,” She said in a Vogue interview in February 2017, explaining her need for increased SPF. Barrymore added that when it comes to matters of sun protection, she opts for a powder formula to avoid clogged pores.
Barrymore told Marie Claire in 2015 that her biggest lipstick criteria is that the color doesn’t feather, saying, " Whether it's a lip balm, lacquer, or a stick, an anti-feathering formula is what I want.” The actress, pictured here a neutral pink lip and natural cheek, told Into the Gloss in 2013 that often uses her lipstick as her blush to ensure that her makeup is cohesive. "I actually always just double my lipstick as a cheek tint,” she said, adding that this trick simplifies her routine.
Barrymore rocked a side-braid and an off-the shoulder Elizabeth Kenny gown at the 2016 Once Upon a Time Gala, telling InStyle that she chose the look because it displayed her favorite features. “It seemed like demure and appropriate … and giving good shoulder,” she said. “Lets me show off my décolletage and my clavicle,” Noting that her clavicle was one of her favorite features!
Barrymore, shown here at the Coach 75th Anniversary on December 8, 2016, in New York City, embraces her post-baby body. Following the birth of her daughters — Olive, 4, and Frankie, 3 — in 2012 and 2014, the actress told Glamour in 2015, “After two babies, holy cow … it’s hard to stay positive and love yourself … But you think about how beautiful it is that you’re able to make children.” The actress further explained that spending time with her kids helps her put any body insecurities she has to rest.
Barrymore, pictured here wearing a Monique Lhuillier dress in 2014, Roger Vivier shoes and an Edie Parker clutch, told Into the Gloss in 2013, “My motto for this whole thing is, ‘You’re already beautiful, now let’s play.’ It’s much more about empowerment and playfulness.”
