The capsule line titled BT21 includes 12 playful unisex t-shirts. Each one features a BT21 character (think playful characters that are almost like a mix between anime and emoji).
They were developed by the music group themselves back in 2017 when the boy band joined the Line Friends’ Creators initiative, which teams up with influential artists to come up with new product ideas and characters. According to Fashionista, the boys landed on eight figures after several rounds of sketching. Seven of them — Tata, Mang, Chimmy, RJ, Koya, Cooky and Shooky — are said to encapsulate each member of the band’s own unique personality. The last one, Van, is their protector.
According to CNN, the Japanese fashion retailer stated that all members of the group “actively participated in the whole process from drawing sketches to execution.” The line comes out of Uniqlo’s UT imprint, which dedicates its time and energy to creating exclusive graphic tees.
The collection will be available starting Friday, June 21, and the best news is it’s super affordable. At just $14.90, anyone can get in on this trendy fun.
