Forgoing the usual BBQs and trips to the beach, stars like Emma Stone, Jennifer Connelly and Sophie Turner spent Memorial Day Weekend in the south of France for the Louis Vuitton 2019 Cruise show. Sporting cool color-block separates and tres chic dresses, the ladies — and even a few dapper dudes (here’s looking at you, Justin Theroux and Mark Ronson) — mingled among the art at the Fondation Maeght in the hilltop city of St. Paul-de-Vence for LV creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s resort presentation.
Just days after confirming he renewed his contract with the iconic French fashion house and is #notgoinganywhere, the designer showcased a collection of oversized and sculptural silhouettes in an array of mismatched colors, textures and prints that had an ’80s throwback vibe. Vogue creative director Grace Coddington helped inject a bit of whimsy into the collection with playful cat and dog-shaped handbags created from her own sketches.
