With the 2026 Cannes Film Festival coming to an end, it’s time to recap the hottest looks that nearly broke the event’s dress code. According to the official Cannes Film Festival site, “For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the Red Carpet, as well as in any other area of the Festival.” Kristen Stewart dared to bare when she showed off her nipples underneath a sheer Chanel blouse at the Full Phil photocall, and again was on thin ice when she stunned in a black-and-red Chanel design that exposed her lingerie on the red carpet. Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart had not one but two risky outfits during the festival. First, she posed in a semi-sheer Chanel knit top at the Full Phil photocall, which exposed her nipples. The actress styled the risqué piece with a matching shirt that gave fans a glimpse of her hot shorts underneath. 

Next, Stewart stunned in a red-and-black Chanel dress at the Full Phil premiere. The dress exposed her black bra and high-wasted underwear.

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid turned up the heat in a white custom Schiaparelli gown at the De Gaulle: Tilting Iron premiere. Her look included a daringly low-cut neckline that revealed her cleavage and belly button. The rest of her semi-sheer look exposed her legs and white underwear underneath.

Renate Reinsve

Actress Renate Reinsve showed off some skin at the festival’s closing ceremony in a black cape top that split open over her chest. She dressed her look up even more with silver sequin pants that connected to her boots.

Stella Maxwell

Stella Maxwell took a risk at the festival’s closing ceremony in a barely-there dress featuring a massive cutout over her chest and a thigh-high slit. The rest of her dress was finished with beaded short sleeves and an airy black skirt. She accessorized with a diamond cross necklace and coordinating rings.
